Yesterday I went to see the petroglyphs along the Allegheny River near Parker, Pa. These petroglyphs are on a property owned by my niece but unless the river is really low, they are underwater. Holding on to a rope you have to go down backwards about 50 feet. All 5 of us made it safely. We walked down along the river for a ways but the best ones are right where we went down the rope. Most of them were covered with mud and it was hard to see them. Beautiful scenery down there. We all got back up ok, also. Here are some pictures from the excursion. Thank you to my nieces and nephews for including me. I had a great time!
